Old rant.

Now I know you all have been wondering why I haven't been positing much lately. I'm just gonna say, I've been going through quite A LOT lately. Between school and other things going wrong; I haven't had very much time to actually upload a video. Anyway, on to what I was writing about.

-----------------

There's something that has been hurting my progress in school lately, 'absences'. But, these absences aren't just because 'oh, I skip all the time and fake sick', no… it's because I'm legitimately sick and I have a clear reason to leave school early. It's NOT because I'm just an idiot, that always wants to miss school because I think everything is pointless. So, let me ask you this; why should the school count absences if they were the ones that sent you home?

No, they shouldn't. Honestly, if they deem you as sick enough to go home, why do they count it against you? Why do they require a doctor's note if the school nurses are qualified?

If you are being allowed to be sent home by someone who's been through medical school; shouldn't that be enough to warrant an excused absence?

And dont say something like 'well, why are the absences such a problem? They don't count torwards no credit.'. Let me say this as well; I don't care if they count or don't count torwards anything,

*sigh*… will this war ever end?

Ok, I've been dealing with this furry discrimination bullshit for far too long. Literally, it is taking its emotional and psychological toll on me, and it's NOT easy to deal with. Furthermore, some events have happened recently that is making this problem much worse, and worsening the depression that I'm already trying to fight. Also, this blog entry does not have very much to do with the furry fandom thing, it's more of another bullshit problem I've had to deal with.

Let me tell you a story about what happened yesterday; this incident really pissed me off and just reminded me how broken and shitty my school is.

---

I was sitting in English 2. The teacher put the warm up on the board, which was an exact copy of a previous warm up we did before; same poem and everything. I found this boring, so… naturally, I decided to keep working on a poem I was writing; as well as writing another chapter to my creepypasta. Then, next thing I knew, ms. Hernandez was standing over me asking what I was writing and wanting to look at it. Luckily, she went away and I continued writing it.

Later that class, they said that we had to turn in our essay so others could write a rebuttal on the back of our essay; yeah… it was a weird class assignment. As it turns out, I had already written my essay, but it was in an alternate script called 'CAPS' (look on omniglot.com for information on it.), so I flipped to a new page in my notebook and started re-writing my previous essay. Again… not even 1
FUCKING MINUTE after I start writing, ms. Hernandez is hovering over my desk again. Additionally, despite me being on a totally different page, she still asks me to flip to the other page I was writing my poem on.

This is where it gets REALLY FUCKING STUPID…

I refused to show her the page, after all, who in their right mind wouldn't? Of course, being the 'normal' teacher she is; she sent me out of class and yelled at me about 'how I wasn't doing my work'. This was really annoying and stupid for two reasons: she said that I apparently 'don't have the right to do creative writing' (in an English class for fuck sake), she still wanted to see my notebook and she was gonna send me to ISS over this if she 'didn't like me'. First off, why do you give a shit if I'm not immediately re-writing my essay the moment I walk in the door? I mean, COME ON, it's like they expect me to be a robot; like I'm supposed to say 'yes master, I'm proud to serve you.', every time they ask me to do something.

Anyway, back to the situation at hand. She made me sit out of class for a few minutes. And after this, she talked to me about it AGAIN! Luckily, I didn't get ISS or anything like that; if I did, I would be rioting in the streets. And then, when I FINALLY got back into class… she moved my seat right next to her desk and tried to force me to write it. Also, there was only 6 minutes left in class! Seriously, do teachers understand how annoying they are?

Oh, and if ms. Hernandez or any other related teachers are reading this right now, know that you can't force me to do work. If I choose not to, then I choose not to. And don't say 'well you need to listen to them because you're in their class.'

Honestly, I can drop the fuck out of school at a moments notice, and I swear, if teachers keep doing shit like this, I'm gonna do it very soon.

Bottom line: I'm dealing with enough shit in my life already. I don't need things like this ruining my day. So, just stop already.

Why I quit reddit.

As some of you have already noticed, I have not posted anything on reddit, with the exception of posting my livestream link on to /r/osugame. Why is this? Well, if it's not obvious enough already… is because of the community. The community is so shitty and cancerous on reddit, that I would prefer a brick wall over any of its users.

Here's one of my (many) bad experiences on reddit.

I make a post to /r/undertale, keep in mind that this isn't anything provocative or something that would warrant a dislike. The post has nothing offensive in it. Literally, the only thing I asked for was cosplay advice, and you know what I got… nothing but downvotes and shitty criticisms. I'm not even joking with what I'm about to say, it's really shocking/hard to believe, … i got 10 DOWNVOTES … FUCKING 10 OF THEM (across the post and the comments i replied with). Again, 10 DOWN VOTES! And for what? Me asking for cosplay advice?! Seriously?!

And this wasn't the first time either, this same scenario has happened almost everytime I post something; with few exceptions.

Some of you are wondering why this is a problem, and so ill tell you why. This is a problem because it dramatically lowers my posts being seen; if the number of DOWNVOTES is too high, your posts/comment will be automatically hidden (which can only be revealed upon clicking a separate button (for other users viewing posts/comments) ). On top of that, the negative comment karma I've obtained, makes it harder for people to see the stuff I post. In other words, just because a few assholles kept disliking my stuff, now I have limited exposure that I can get on the site.

Another reason why I left reddit is the bullshit 'spam detection', spam detection is usually good, I'm not against it. However, the reddit 'spam detection', only lets you post every 15 minutes; and it applies to most subreddits. Furthermore, I can't stop the negative karma by clearing up misunderstandings with a simple comment/edit. It is the most fucked system that I have EVER SEEN… and trust me… I've been on A LOT of forums.

In short, unless you have a spotless reputation and are somehow immune to hate… reddit will fuck you up the ass and so will its users.

Why rrhs needs a furries club.

Note: I don't want hate for this, I'm gonna state my opinion here, as well as, some facts. If you don't want to hear about it, you don't have to read this article.

So, most schools have clubs, right? Yes, they do; they serve a valuable purpose in helping students connect with others that share similar interests. This is especially important in something like a book club; because many people don't read for fun/enjoyment in modern times, there is only a small amount of people that still read for fun. Therefore, since it was a group of people with a 'niche' intrest, they decided to create a club for it to help people along. This helped a lot of people with that interest in more ways than one.

So, going off of that logic, why shouldn't the furry fandom get their own club? They fit all the requirements for a club to be in place: it's a small minority of people who are interested in it, it's a very interesting culture with many discussion topics, it's not too specific to warrant not getting a club, and there is demand for it. Again, why do they not have a club? Because of one simple concept, 'preconceived notions', all of the unfair, ridiculous, and outright lies, have hurt the reputation of this social group to the point where it's just as much of a taboo topic as 9/11.

Basically, people are believing so much lies and misconceptions, that a negative bias has formed around society and lined up its sights straight torwards us. That is what really bothers me above all else. Why, you ask? Because it is literally discrimination without any sort of logic or reason behind it. Let me put it into perspective, imagine if one day, people started spreading rumors about Christianity, until, eventually… almost everybody found the practitioners of the religion to be disgusting human beings which should be avoided at all costs. Now, would that be fair? No, it would not be, no matter what way you look at it.

Now, I'm not saying that everybody MUST respect and accept our culture, in fact, the occasional hater(s) would not be an issue; what I'm worried about is the negative bias that society has. People need to know something, not all furries practice beastiality and stuff like that; in fact, that's only around 14% of the fandom. The whole 'dog fucking enthusiasts' thing is just a steereotype; just like all Italians aren't gifted pizza chefs, all furries aren't into weird fetishes.

Anyway, now that I'm done giving that explaination, let's get on with my proposal. I want a few things to be done; firstly, I want our culture to be accepted and for conversations about it to NEVER result in punishment. Secondly, I want a furries club to be created at rrhs. And finally, I request that the following items are allowed in the dress code: fake animal ears, hair dye (natural or unnatural), and any sort of paws/gloves. Once these requirements are met, everybody can be happy, and the school can not have to deal with any sort of protests regarding the topic.

Also, what I said before may sound like a threat, but it's not, I'm just listing the suggestions that seem most appropraite and do-able; based on what the majority of the culture is into and what is necessary to express our culture. Furthermore, regardless if these exact things are done, there still needs to at least be some sort of action to get it accepted; because it is quickly getting out hand. Me, as well as, many other furries in SATX are getting sick of the lack of acceptance and hate towards our social group.

Additionally, the school, or someone else, will most likely try to take down this article. DON'T do this…

Fun fact: I have screenshoted, saved, and re-uploaded this to many different services multiple times. So, if anyone tries to block my right to freedom of speech because of the aforementioned bias, I'm covered on every front.

Speech impediment… what's that?

Ok, I've had an issue with speaking for years, and I'm posting it here to clear it up.

As long as I can remember, I have always had trouble saying 'th' sounds; as well as some minor difficulties saying 'ch' and 'ph'. This is, and always has been, a major problem for me. On top of that, 'the' is the most commonly used word in the English language, 'they' is the only pronoun you can use to describe multiple objects or an indeterminate number of objects, and finally, 'three' is the only word that can be used for the number '3'.

Now let's move on to the other diphthongs; 'ch' is rarely ever used in modern English, with it only being kept for onamatopea and a few loan words. Furthermore, 'ch' is rarely pronounced as it is spelled, with the word 'chair' being pronounced as 'shair' (with little to no emphasis on the 'C') and with the word 'charred' having more emphasis on the 'arr' part of the word. On the other hand, 'ph' is more commonly used and generally has more emphasis put on it, some examples of 'ph' words being; 'phobia', '-phile', 'phone', 'phantom', 'phase', and 'morph'. Now, since 13% of English words are not spelled as they are pronounced; they are some words that have these same or similar sounds despite the letter combinations not actually appearing.

Now onto my real problem, i cannot most words properly if they contain 'th' in them. The closest I can get is with the 'th' being pronounced as 'd' or 'f'; depending on the word. With some examples being; /they/ ---> /day/, /the/ ---> /dī/, /thorn/ ---> /fōrn/, and many others. Let me tell you something else, NEVER has speech therapy, or any other teachers, tried to help me say it properly. And sadly, they won't, not at this point; I'm in high school, so they have completely given up teaching how to actually speak the language.

People have made fun of me for it in the past and dictation programs don't work too well because of it. I have partially fixed the issue, I can say the British 'th' pretty well, but that's not really a solution; it's more of a contrived workaround.

My solution for this problem is that there are alternate spellings for people who can't say these words properly, that way, computers will be able to understand it and people could understand it better. Now about the understanding part, sure, they're the same sound, but, if presented differently; it could help people to learn it easier and hopefully prevent some of these speech issues. If I told you to read this 「し」would you be able to understand it? No, you most likely would not. However, if I told you to read this 「shi」, you would perfectly understand it.

The same applies to what I'm thinking, if someone can't understand 'the', why not write it as 'vī'? If someone can't understand it when it is presented in one way, why not present it in a different way?

That's all for this blog entry.

Now stop commenting on how I say 'free' instead of 'three', it gets really annoying and stupid.

I just had my best class of the year - animation - [yesterday]

Animation was very interesting and also fun today. There were 2 presentations explaining an animation company and why you should hire them; those were good - plagued with low voice volume and sounding kind of uninspired -. After that though, we started watching animations that the classes had done for a recent freestyle assignment. Most of them were pretty good, I thought, though if they were on YouTube; they would quickly be added to a cringe compilation by the people who can't appreciate animation.

There were some that stood out to me though. For example, there was an undertale themed animation, as you can expect, I lecter ally yelled "yes!" and so did some others in the class. Let me describe the animation the best I can, it basically showed frisk walking up to sans - who one of my commenters spoiled for me that you fight him in the genocide run -, and some sort of speech between sans and frisk. The screen turned black and the heart craked, some credits flash on screen, and the animation was over. I enjoyed it, considering that I thought there wouldn't have been any undertale animations; I was glad to see at least one of them. After the presentation, Michael stood up and said "raise your hand if [youre an] undertale fan", and of course, I did.

There was another animation that was pretty interesting as well, it was called turtle mariachi, and it was… heard to describe. Of course mine came on, and guess what? It looked really bad on screen and combined with the fact that the music was really loud, everyone was glad the bell interrupted it. And the worst part? The teacher did not show my other, better, animation which I had done in my spare time.

FML lol
